HOMESTEAD VALLEY COMMUNITY CENTER

The Homestead Valley Community Center is owned by the County of Marin and leased to the Homestead Valley Community Association. The County partnered with HVCA in soliciting the Goring & Straja design team to renovate their aging community center building, which serves roughly 1,000 households within a small neighborhood.

The Center is comprised of a community hall, library/classroom, a kitchen, an office, and a manager’s residence. The outdoor amenities include a swimming pool, changing rooms, large deck and patio, and a grassy outdoor gathering area.

The project involved the renovation and expansion of the existing community center, voluntary seismic upgrades, and improvements to site accessibility.
