GOODNIGHT'S PRIME STEAK + SPIRITS
Nestled in historic Healdsburg Plaza, Goodnight’s converts an old tasting room into a new Western-style steakhouse and bar.
The project re-purposes the existing building envelope and brick facade. A new roof provides space for a mezzanine dining area and outdoor terrace. A large skylight and glass elevator provide ample access to natural daylight in the challenging infill site. The 3,205 Sq. Ft. project encompasses a dining area, bar, demonstration kitchen, scullery, and back prep.
Our team worked with a Montana based interior design firm to pay homage to the restaurant’s namesake & our client’s great grandfather, Charles Goodnight, while upholding the refined feel of Healdsburg Plaza. Wood and metal finishes and cattle ranching motifs recall Charles Goodnight’s trailblazing days as a Texas Ranger. Stained white oak slats are backed with acoustic insulation to provide the perfect ambient dining experience.
